Coach - Manoj Nowrang
Coach Nowrang has coached a wide variety of levels in his 30 year coaching career. He lead the varsity boy’s at Glenlawn Collegiate to 3 final fours and a Provincial Championship during a six year run that produced nine university players. Over this time he also coached the Manitoba Provincial Teams in 2002 winning a bronze at Nationals and 2003 leading them to a Silver medal in the Western Canada Games. Coach Nowrang was selected Interim Head Coach for the University of Manitoba Men’s program during the 2005-2006 season and served as an assistant coach with both the University of Manitoba Bison men’s and women’s programs. After coaching many “grassroots” basketball programs, Coach Nowrang formed the EDGE Basketball Club, which has quickly grown into one of the elite girl’s youth programs in the city. During his playing career he was selected to the MBCA All Manitoba Team (1987), the Basketball Manitoba Provincial Team (1985-1988), and was a member of the University of Manitoba Bison men’s team.

Coach - Arlyn Filewich
Arlyn won 2 high school provincial championships in 1987 and 1988 with Vincent Massey Collegiate and was named the Provincial MVP both years. In 1988 she also won the prestigious Carl Ridd Award for excellence in both basketball and academics. In 1987, Arlyn was a practice player for the National Development team, and in 1988 with the Canadian National Junior Women's team. Arlyn also played for several provincial teams from age 15 -19. Arlyn had a very successful university career playing 5 years for the University of Manitoba Bisons, where she served as team captain for 3 years.
While teaching at Fort Richmond Collegiate, Arlyn coached 4 years of Varsity Boys basketball, 5 years of Varsity Girls basketball and 3 years of Junior Varsity Girls basketball. She received the Basketball Coaches' Association Coach of the Year award in both 2001 when the varsity girls were provincial finalists and in 2010 when the JV girls won the Provincial championship. Arlyn also assisted with Coach Keith Pruden on the U15 Provincial Team in 1995.
While teaching at Fort Richmond Collegiate, Arlyn coached 4 years of Varsity Boys basketball, 5 years of Varsity Girls basketball and 3 years of Junior Varsity Girls basketball.
